Our Heritage

Manufacturing roots, a regional focus

Novatik Steel draws on the manufacturing experience behind Novatik, applying the same stone-coated steel process to a product line presented for Colorado homeowners. Each shingle is formed from galvanized steel and finished with volcanic stone granules, so the material is built to hold its shape and finish through the region's temperature swings.

We focus on the Colorado market so the information here reflects the questions local homeowners ask: how the roof handles high-elevation sun, freeze-thaw cycles, and strong wind, and how each profile compares in appearance. Our testing references include Class 4 impact resistance, a 160 mph wind rating, Miami-Dade certification, and a Class A fire rating.

How It Is Made

From steel core to finished shingle

01

Galvanized steel core

Each shingle starts with a galvanized steel base sheet, which provides the structural backbone for the roofing system.

02

Protective coating

The steel is coated to resist corrosion before the surface finishing step begins, supporting long-term performance.

03

Stone granule application

Volcanic stone granules are applied to the coated surface, giving each profile its texture and color depth.

04

Baking and finishing

The granules are baked into the coating so they bond firmly, then the shingles are formed into the profile shapes shown in our range.
